Today on the blog it's all about the Wedding Venue. Although it's on the borders of North Wales, Shropshire and Cheshire - Iscoyd Park is a Georgian Country House which is so beautiful and that I'm claiming it in the name of North Wales.
With the option of hiring the exclusive use of this gorgeous private house for up to three days you'll have Wedding Manager Jen Paskell on hand from the moment you book until you leave Iscoyd Park as a newly married couple.
The house is exclusively yours for the duration of your Wedding, and you need to consider how long you wish to make Iscoyd Park yours. There is the "one day, one night" option which will give you and your party exclusive use of Iscoyd Park and its gardens from 12.00 midday on the day of the wedding until 10.00am the following morning. The price includes the Bridal Suite for the duration of hire. There is also the option of a "two days, two night" hire which will give you and your party exclusive use of Iscoyd Park and gardens from 2.00pm the day before your wedding until 10.00am the day after. The hire price includes the Bridal
suite for both nights and gives a great opportunity for a pre wedding dinner or BBQ - a wonderful way to spend the night before your wedding.

If, like me - you want to celebrate your wedding for just that little bit longer then why not invite everyone back for a post wedding lunch? For Saturday weddings there is the possibility of extending your checkout time from 10.00am to 4pm to incorporate a lunch or brunch the day after your wedding. (Please note that for bank holiday weekends this offer would only apply to Sundays)
But if that still isn't enough for you and you think you'd would like to extend your hire for more than two nights then why not talk to the wedding team about prices for the length of hire you would like.
The Wedding Ceremony
Iscoyd Park falls under the jurisdiction of the Wrexham Registrar's, you can choose to have your civil ceremony in one of two rooms; The Garden Room - with its long aisle, series of arches and Portland stone floor, this room is church like in feel. Or there is The Drawing Room - this is a smaller and more intimate space. But if you were hoping for a Church ceremony then there's St Mary's Church - a beautiful parish church, nestled in idyllic and lovely countryside on the edge of the Estate. It can seat up to 150 guests. Marrying in church requires certain Church of England conditions to be followed, the wedding team at Iscoyd will be able to explain these further.
The Wedding Reception
For your wedding reception there is a permanent marquee connected to The Garden Room via a glass Pagoda. These three
spaces open as one for your party, providing a stunning
bar, dance floor, chill out spaces and eating area.
The Marquee itself is more an extension of the house
than a marquee. It has double glazed, floor to ceiling
glass windows with panoramic views of the garden,
hard sides, an insulated roof with large glass doors that
open onto a terrace. Inside beautiful linen linings and
stunning lighting effects are designed to work with any
decoration and colours your imagination desires. The wedding team are able to recommend suppliers but you would need to organise your own decorations directly with the vendors - but Jen and her team are on hand to help set everything up on the day.
The Fine Dining Company are Iscoyd’s in-house catering team and after booking your wedding at Iscoyd, the catering team will get in touch with you to discuss your menus. They will guide you through this, offering advice and help in order to create the perfect menu for your Wedding Feast. Once you have chosen your Wedding Feast, Rupert and his team will cook it for you, so you can see what a treat is in store for your guests. Please note that although Iscoyd do not impose "minimum numbers" - The Fine Dining Company do add a surcharge of £250.00 where there are less than 60 guests.
Accommodation
Marrying couples can allocate bedrooms for their guests who can pay for their own rooms or they can use Iscoyd's online booking system. They are currently working on additional 6 new en-suite double bedrooms in the main house which will be ready by December 2015 taking the total number of on site bedrooms to 14. Those who stay in the house also have use of the very cosy Little Drawing Room where there is a library of books, DVDs and CDs, a music system and TV. Breakfast is served in the drawing room where they can seat up to 40 guests.
